Fargo Projects - TRE Salon

Fargo Vintage Design is well-known for its sustainable and unique vintage furniture, which it supplies to both private customers and business partners. Over the years, Fargo has collaborated with various interior designers and companies looking for distinct pieces to enhance their spaces—items with their own histories and charm. The appeal of vintage lies in many things: it promotes recycling and environmental awareness while adding a timeless and unique character to any setting. In this new Fargo Projects blog series, we dive into some of Fargo’s most notable projects, beginning with a particularly meaningful collaboration: Fargo’s work with TRE Salon from 2018 to 2020.

TRE Salon – A Unique Showroom and Event Space

TRE Salon, launched in 2018, was the main office, showroom, and event space for the TRE concept. Located in the iconic Pohjolan talo (Pohjola Building) in the heart of Helsinki, this spacious and distinctive venue served as a platform for Nordic design, Finnish art, and the unique vibe of vintage aesthetics. TRE Salon wasn’t just a store; it was a space where art, design, and sustainability intertwined into a lively and cohesive experience.

Fargo and TRE’s Collaboration

The partnership between TRE and Fargo was built on shared values and a vision for sustainable consumer choices. Fargo’s furniture not only enhanced the showroom’s aesthetic but also added layers of history and storytelling to the space. This created an environment where the finest elements of Finnish and Nordic design met a strong cultural heritage and commitment to sustainability. Fargo’s vintage furniture brought timelessness and authenticity to the showroom, allowing visitors to feel a deeper connection to the space and its pieces.

Sustainability and Recycling at the Core of Fargo’s Projects

Through the TRE collaboration, Fargo was able to reinforce its role as an advocate of sustainability and inspire customers to consider their interior choices from an environmental perspective. Today, the importance of recycling and vintage is ever-growing, with more designers and companies striving to make sustainable choices. Each of Fargo’s pieces is unique, offering the kind of history and durability that is hard to match with new items. The TRE Salon collaboration was a perfect example of how responsible thinking and vintage aesthetics can thrive in both commercial and creative spaces.

The Spirit of Pohjolan talo

TRE Salon was housed in the iconic Pohjolan talo, completed in 1901 and designed by the architectural trio Gesellius, Lindgren, and Saarinen. The building, a masterpiece of National Romantic style, features symbols inspired by Finnish nature and intricate stone carvings. Its historic atmosphere was the ideal backdrop for Fargo’s furniture, complementing the ambiance and character of the space.

Our Fargo Projects blog series will continue with more stories of projects and collaborations through which Fargo Vintage Design brings timelessness, personality, and sustainability to Finnish interiors—furnishings that retain their value for generations to come.
