Yrjö Kukkapuro

Yrjö Kukkapuro (1933–2025) was one of Finland’s leading furniture designers and a pioneer of ergonomic design. His work combines playfulness, bold experimentation, functionality and strong aesthetic expression.

Among his most celebrated designs are the iconic Karuselli Chair, the Saturnus Table, the Remmi series sofa and armchairs, as well as the Ateljee armchair and sofa. Kukkapuro’s furniture represents timeless Finnish modern design at its finest.
